A fresh cut — the Outlier Merino/Co Pivot Shirt could be the perfect button up for cyclists
September 25, 2013
Billed as “the one to travel the world in”, the latest garment to join Outlier‘s collection of tailored performance wear is this sharply styled cotton/merino shirt.
From the description provided by the Brooklyn-based brand, it sounds like it could be the perfect shirt for anyone who wants to ride a bike to work and not change on arrival:
“A shirt that you can wear for days on the road without it stinking up. A shirt that you can stuff into a bag and still pull out looking sharp. A shirt that is comfortable in wide temperature ranges and still looks clean even as you sweat.”
First released as a 100% cotton shirt, with the addition of merino to the mix (59% to be precise) the Pivot gains all of the benefits of this natural wonder of a fabric that cyclists know and love. (That will be odour resistance in particular then) And because the Pivot shirt was designed from the outset to allow a greater freedom of movement than a traditional button up shirt affords, the cut is supremely bike friendly.
Sadly thought, I couldn’t find any shots of it being worn on a bicycle. So you’re going to have to settle for a Ducati instead…
